HIGHLIGHTS: Yellow-browed Warblers were at several sites including Capel and Selsdon. Guillemots were at Bankside (5th) and near Teddington Lock (14th). A phalarope sp. was at Beddington SF (11th), where a Lapland Bunting flew over (22nd). A Gannet flew over Chiswick Eyot Bridge. LONDON WETLAND CENTRE: Highlights included 23 Barnacle Geese (19th), Goldeneye, Little Gull, Pintail, Short-eared Owl, Water Pipit, Wheatear and Yellow Wagtail.
STAINES RESERVOIRS: A Yellow-browed Warbler was ringed at Queen Mary Reservoir (8th). Flocks of Barnacle Geese were at Island Barn Reservoir (11th & 22nd). Other records included Black-necked Grebe, Black Redstart, Goldeneye, Golden Plover and Wheatear.
OTHER WATERWAYS: Tice’s Meadow, Farnham had a Jack Snipe (2nd), Bearded Tits (from 11th), Ring Ouzel (12th), Great White Egret (13th), Yellow-browed Warbler (21st) and Golden Plover (30th). Great White Egrets were also at Holmethorpe SP (11th) and Chilworth (30th). Caspian Gulls were at Beddington SF (15th & 29th), with 12 Jack Snipe there.
OTHER SITES: Ring Ouzels were at several locations, including six at Devil’s Punchbowl. Great Grey Shrikes were at Leith Hill (11th), Frensham Common (from 15th) and Thursley Common (from 14th). Peter Bryant
