HIGH­LIGHTS: Yel­low browed War­blers were at Maple Cross (9th), Stocker’s Lake (9th) and Scales Park (13th-14th). A Ring Ouzel was at Rye Meads (5th), with a Jack Snipe there (14th-17th). A Black Red­start was at Maple Cross (15th-20th). Two Waxwings were at Bish­ops Stort­ford (from 30th). A Ring-necked Duck com­muted be­tween Wil­stone Reser­voir and Star­top’s End (from 19th), as did two Scaup (from 16th). Wil­stone Reser­voir also held a Fer­rug­i­nous Duck (from 25th), three Gar­ganeys (10th), with one (29th), a dark-bel­lied Brent Goose (1st) and four Jack Snipe. Gan­nets flew over Berkham­sted (2nd) and Great Gad­des­den (30th). A dead Storm-pe­trel was at Spell­brook (4th). A Short-eared Owl re­turned to Heart­wood For­est (21st). Robin Chit­ten­den.
