Bird Watching (UK) - - Uk Bird Sightings -

HIGH­LIGHTS: A Cat­tle Egret vis­ited Marsh Lane, where four Bearded Tits were also seen. Yel­low-browed War­blers were at Fens Pools and Edg­bas­ton. A Great Grey Shrike flew over Lut­ley Wedge.

CLAYHANGER MARSH: Six­teen Whooper Swans was an ex­cel­lent site record. A Cetti’s War­bler, the odd Stonechat, Wil­low Tit and Wa­ter Rail were also seen.

LUT­LEY: Golden Plovers flew over. There were Bram­bling, Stonechat, Raven and Pere­grine.

MARSH LANE: There was a Great White Egret, Lit­tle Egrets, two Pin­tails, a Marsh Har­rier and Stonechat. Waders in­cluded Jack Snipe, Dun­lin and Green Sand­piper.

SANDWELL VAL­LEY: An Osprey flew over. A Mer­lin flew through the RSPB marsh. There was a Rock Pipit, Stonechats, Marsh Tit, Wil­low Tit, Bram­bling, Jack Snipe, 26 Goosanders and Pin­tail. Pere­grines were reg­u­lar.

OTHER SITES: Wil­low Tits were at Saltwells and Pel­sall North Com­mon. Queslett held 165 Wi­geon. Pete Hack­ett (0121 358 2454)
