SCAR­BOR­OUGH: High­lights in­cluded Lit­tle Bunt­ings at Cas­tle Hill (4th) and Cloughton Wyke (11th), Radde’s War­blers at Cas­tle Hill (5th and 14th), six Pal­las’s War­bler along the coast, and a Wood Lark which flew south at Long Nab (16th). A Black-necked Grebe re­turned to the har­bour (from 6th). A Great Grey Shrike was at Long Nab (13th) with two in Lang­dale For­est. Eight Shore Larks were at Long Nab (from 27th) where La­p­land Bunt­ings peaked at 10 (3rd). A Hawfinch was at Cas­tle Hill (22nd). An amaz­ing ar­rival of Yel­low­browed War­blers peaked at 32 along the coastal strip (3rd). A Great White Egret flew south at Long Nab (15th), rest­ing at John­son’s Marsh. Two Firecrests were found. Twelve Mealy Red­polls were re­ported. There were 11 tun­dra Bean Geese and 18 White-fronted Geese at Long Nab (17th). A Sabine’s Gull was off Long Nab (2nd).
