HIGH­LIGHTS: The first two Siberian Ac­cen­tors for the county were on Holy Is­land and at New­big­gin (29th-30th). Holy Is­land also pro­duced an Is­abelline Wheatear (18th-20th), White’s Thrush (5th), Red-flanked Blue­tail (12th), Is­abelline Shrike (18th-19th) and a King Eider. The lat­ter was also seen at sev­eral other sites in the county north of New­big­gin (23rd). Fur­ther Red-flanked Blue­tails were at Bam­burgh (4th) and Am­ble (9th). NORTH: Holy Is­land logged Richard’s Pipit (5th), Lit­tle Bunt­ing (7th-15th), Barred War­bler (15th), Dusky War­bler (22nd), two Great Grey Shrikes (7th-15th), six Red-breasted Fly­catch­ers (1st-15th) and five Pal­las’s War­blers (8th-16th). The Farne Is­lands pro­duced as many as five Lit­tle Bunt­ings (4th-15th), two Com­mon Rosefinches (3rd-15th), two Pal­las’s War­blers (5th-14th), Great Grey Shrike (4th), two Red-breasted Fly­catch­ers (7th-15th), Dusky War­bler (16th) and Siberian Stonechat (20th). Other Pal­las’s War­blers were at How­ick (7th), Low New­ton (11th-12th), and Bu­dle Point and Craster (14th). A Barred War­bler was at Craster (15th). Firecrests were at Low New­ton (6th-8th), Holy Is­land (15th-19th) and the Farne Is­lands (16th). Low New­ton had a Lit­tle Bunt­ing (9th), an Amer­i­can Golden Plover (20th) and the long-staying Baird’s Sand­piper. Three Shore Larks were at Ross (20th). SOUTH: Red-breasted Fly­catch­ers were at New­big­gin (2nd), Wood­horn (9th), Whit­ley Bay (3rd) and Tynemouth (8th). Tynemouth also held Barred War­bler (4th), Arc­tic War­bler (9th-10th), Dusky War­bler (14th-20th) and Pal­las’s War­bler (15th). Barred War­blers were at St. Mary’s Is­land (15th-19th) and Cam­bois (22nd), with Pal­las’s War­blers at St. Mary’s Is­land (14th-16th), East Chev­ing­ton (15th) and Cresswell Pond (16th). Great Grey Shrikes were at Prest­wick Carr (8th-21st) and New­big­gin (15th). Great White Egrets were at Wallsend (16th) and Druridge Pools (23rd).
