IS­LAY: Loch Gru­inart logged 160 pale-bel­lied Brent Geese, Jack Snipe, three Green­shanks, Long-tailed Duck, 32,065 Bar­na­cle Geese, 362 Green­land White­fronts, two Pink­feet, 10 Lesser Canada Geese, Marsh Har­rier, three Black­caps, Chif­fchaff, Snow Bunt­ing, Amer­i­can Wi­geon and 62 Whooper Swans. Loch In­daal held seven Grey Plovers, nine Black-throated Divers, 12 Red-throated Divers, Long-tailed Duck and eight Slavo­nian Grebes. A Short-eared Owl, three Mer­lins, two Hen Har­ri­ers, two White-tailed Ea­gles, two Golden Ea­gles, Pere­grine, La­p­land Bunt­ing, three Wheatears, Black­cap and Yel­low-browed War­bler were at the Oa. A Mer­lin, three La­p­land Bunt­ings and four Green­land Wheatears were at Ard­nave. Two Golden Ea­gles were at Bal­linaby. A White-tailed Ea­gle was at Port Char­lotte. Three Po­ma­rine Skuas were off Scarba, Jura. A Red­wing was at Bal­ly­grant. A Yel­low-browed War­bler was at Port Mor Camp­site. A Red-backed Shrike and four Snow Bunt­ings were at Sanaig­more. There were 120 Field­fares at Gate­house on Jura. A Bram­bling was at Kil­choman. French­mans Rocks logged 1,500 Kit­ti­wakes. Two Snow Bunt­ings were at Clad­dach. Two Bullfinches were at Cragabus. Twenty Whooper Swans were at Port Ellen. A King­fisher was at Brid­gend. TIREE: A Blyth’s Reed War­bler and Red-breasted Fly­catcher were at Bale­phuil (22nd), with Siberian Chif­fchaffs there (7th & 23rd) and a Grey Wag­tail plus Gar­den War­bler (6th). The Amer­i­can Golden Plover re­mained at Cross­apol (to 10th). Great Tits were at Kil­molu­aig (9th) and Vaul (17th), with Blue Tits at Bale­phuil (6th) and Vaul (15th). There were 11 Yel­low-browed War­blers (2nd-31st), Waxwings at Bale­phuil (20th) and Hynish (22nd), Lesser Whitethroats at Heylipol Church and Scarin­ish (17th), 25 La­p­land Bunt­ings (2nd-11th), Ring Ouzels at Car­nan Mor (17th) and Heylipol Church (19th), White Wag­tails (1st and 3rd) and a Golden Ea­gle at Moss (11th). There were peaks of 1,000 Red­wings and 50 Field­fares. Waders in­cluded a Curlew Sand­piper at Vaul (7th), Knot at Bale­phetr­ish Bay (10th), 14 Black-tailed God­wits, seven Grey Plovers, three Jack Snipe at Bale­phuil and three Wood­cocks. There was a Black-throated Diver at Bale­phetr­ish Bay (3rd), a Sand­wich Tern at Vaul (17th), six Lit­tle Grebes, 11 pale-bel­lied Brent Geese, Scaup (1st), 12 Shov­el­ers and four Pin­tails at Loch a’ Phuill (1st), three Pochards and Long-tailed Duck off The Green (22nd).
