HIGH­LIGHTS: Fif­teen Yel­low-browed War­blers were found on coastal sites (2nd-19th). A White-tailed Ea­gle flew east near Letham Grange (4th). A Red-breasted Fly­catcher was at Auchmithie (7th), with a Firecrest there (19th). A Black Red­start, Lesser Whitethroat and Wood­cock were at Ethie Mains (16th). A Pal­las’s War­bler was at Tesco’s, Mon­trose (18th). A Great White Egret was at St Cyrus (21st). A Red Kite flew over the A90 at Dundee (24th). A Great Grey Shrike was at Glen Esk (24th). Monifieth Bay held 130 Golden Plovers (10th). A Mediter­ranean Gull was at Ar­broath (16th). A Jack Snipe was at River­side Na­ture Park (29th). An Osprey was in the Loch Lee/glen Esk area (29th). LOCH OF KINNORDY: A Bittern was seen four times, with a Marsh Har­rier (7th & 15th) and a Hen Har­rier (12th & 24th). There was a Green-winged Teal (18th), Stock Dove and Pin­tail (6th), 400 Golden Plovers (13th), Lap­wings, Teal, Cor­morants and two Swal­lows (15th) and six White-fronted Geese (30th). LOCH OF LINTRATHEN: The count (16th) pro­duced four Mute Swans with seven cygnets, two Great Crested Grebes, two Lit­tle Grebes, 51 Wi­geon, 20 Gold­eneyes, 19 Tufted Ducks, two Cor­morants, five Pochards, and a Swal­low. MON­TROSE BASIN: A Great White Egret was over Bridge of Dun (29th). There was a King­fisher (31st). Maxima were 15 pale-bel­lied Brent Geese, four Lit­tle Grebes, 33 Cor­morants, 22 Whooper Swans, 513 Shel­ducks, 8,236 Wi­geon, 161 Teal, eight Shov­el­ers, 707 Eiders, 13 Gold­eneyes, 21 Red-breasted Mer­gansers, 1,490 Oys­ter­catch­ers, 28 Grey Plovers, 71 Knot, 720 Dun­lin, two Snipe, 98 Black-tailed God­wits, 22 Bar-tailed God­wits, 250 Curlews, 1,658 Red­shanks, 11 Green­shanks, 63 Turn­stones, 302 Black-headed, 88 Com­mon, 30 Her­ring and two Great Black-backed Gulls. OTHER SITES: Craig Owl Hill had Ravens and Mag­pies. Lu­nan Bay had eight Long-tailed Ducks, 12 Red-throated Divers, Com­mon Scot­ers, Vel­vet Scot­ers and three Sand Martins. Inch­cape Park, Ar­broath held three Com­mon Terns. Barry Bud­don had a Wheatear, two Stonechats and a Great Spot­ted Wood­pecker. A Pere­grine was on Ar­broath Church. Auchmithie held a Black­cap and Tree Spar­row. Monifieth Bay had 15 Swal­lows. The East Haven/el­liot coast had 14 Whooper Swans, and a Wheatear. Mon­treath­mont For­est held a Green Wood­pecker and Great Spot­ted Wood­pecker. Twenty-one Twite were at Scur­die Ness. Kep­tie Pond held two King­fish­ers. Bob Mc­cur­ley
