1 From the vil­lage walk up the lane to­wards the hill and you will see House Spar­rows and lo­cal Black­birds and in sum­mer Swifts and hirundines.

2 Then I sug­gest walk­ing round part of the foothill wood­land for wood­peck­ers and pos­si­ble Spar­rowhawk on the wood­land edge.

3 Then fol­low a lit­tle track up the hill and watch those Buzzards and Red Kites and also Kestrel, Meadow Pipit and Wheatear.

4 Back down and across the field with Red-legged Par­tridge, Pheas­ant, Sky Lark and Kestrel. 5 Cross the stream and check for a pos­si­ble Dip­per and also Yel­lowham­mer and Lin­nets in the hedgerows.
