BRIM­STONE MOTH In March, I wrote about the Brim­stone. So, too, this month. But April’s sub­ject is not the but­ter­fly, but the Brim­stone Moth. Both lep­i­dopter­ans are shock­ingly yel­low, but the moth is much smaller and typ­i­cally noc­tur­nal. April sees the start of the its flight sea­son.
