AVON VAL­LEY: Two Great White Egrets and a White-fronted Goose were at Bre­don’s Hard­wick. Five Waxwings were in Eve­sham. A Long-eared Owl was at Lower Moor. A Great White Egret and Black-tailed God­wit were at Naf­ford. CEN­TRAL: Two Pin­tails flew over Sal­warpe. Three Scaup and three Pin­tails were at West­wood Pool. Golden Plovers were at Bredi­cot (262) and Worces­ter (100). Three Waxwings were in Worces­ter city cen­tre. GRIMLEY: An Amer­i­can Wi­geon (from 27th) was the sec­ond county record. There were two Scaup, three Gold­eneyes and a Short-eared Owl. LOWER SEV­ERN VAL­LEY: A Lesser Yel­lowlegs at Long­don Marsh (5th) was the first county record. A Great White Egret and 23 White-fronted Geese were at Rip­ple. NORTH: Two Red-crested Pochards and a Cross­bill were at Bit­tell Reser­voirs. Six­teen Cross­bills were at Ey­more Wood. UP­TON WAR­REN: High­lights in­cluded a Caspian Gull, Kit­ti­wake, three Mediter­ranean Gulls and 11 Golden Plovers. Brian Stretch (www.worces­ter­bird­ing.co.uk)
