Cardiff Bay logged a Long-tailed Duck, nine Scaup, two Glau­cous Gulls, an Ice­land Gull (10th, noted ear­lier that day at Cosme­ston), three Waxwings, a Black Red­start and two Siberian Chif­fchaffs. A Glau­cous Gull was at Porth­cawl (3rd) and an Ice­land Gull in Brid­gend (18th). A Wa­ter Pipit was at Nash Point (5th), with others at Aberthaw and Og­more Es­tu­ary. A Great Grey Shrike was at Ffor­est Fawr (28th). A Siberian Chif­fchaff was at Aber­dare. A Yel­low-browed War­bler at Brynna Woods (24th) was pre­sum­ably the same bird there two months be­fore. Og­more Es­tu­ary had sev­eral Lit­tle Egrets, a Com­mon Sand­piper and three Yel­low-legged Gulls. Bit­terns were at Ken­fig and Barry Docks. A Lit­tle Egret was at Tir­founder. A Hen Har­rier graced Mynydd Eglwysi­lan. Two Jack Snipe were at Rhym­ney Es­tu­ary. Black Red­starts were at Nash Point (two) and South­ern­down. Paul Roberts HIGH­LIGHTS: The Red-flanked Blue­tail re­mained at Wern Ddu, Caer­philly (to 16th).
