Cardiff Bay logged a Long-tailed Duck, nine Scaup, two Glaucous Gulls, an Iceland Gull (10th, noted earlier that day at Cosmeston), three Waxwings, a Black Redstart and two Siberian Chiffchaffs. A Glaucous Gull was at Porthcawl (3rd) and an Iceland Gull in Bridgend (18th). A Water Pipit was at Nash Point (5th), with others at Aberthaw and Ogmore Estuary. A Great Grey Shrike was at Fforest Fawr (28th). A Siberian Chiffchaff was at Aberdare. A Yellow-browed Warbler at Brynna Woods (24th) was presumably the same bird there two months before. Ogmore Estuary had several Little Egrets, a Common Sandpiper and three Yellow-legged Gulls. Bitterns were at Kenfig and Barry Docks. A Little Egret was at Tirfounder. A Hen Harrier graced Mynydd Eglwysilan. Two Jack Snipe were at Rhymney Estuary. Black Redstarts were at Nash Point (two) and Southerndown.
