HIGH­LIGHTS: A White-billed Diver was in Sand­wood Bay (12th). The Black Red­start re­mained at Brora. Amer­i­can Wi­geon lin­gered at Tain, Udale and Clach­na­harry. An­other at Portma­homack may well have been the Tain bird (12th). A Green-winged Teal was also there (12th). A Siberian Ac­cen­tor was near In­ver­gor­don (8th-11th). The Snow Goose moved to Dal­more (13th-16th). The Black Duck re­mained at Stron­tian. A Nuthatch vis­ited feed­ers in Ari­saig (24th). Hawfinches re­mained at Spey Bridge and Nethy­bridge. BADENOCH AND STRATHSPEY: An Ice­land Gull was at Aviemore (2nd-5th). Fifty Waxwings were there (26th) with an­other 52 at Boat of Garten (11th). Four White-fronted Geese were at Broomhill (17th-18th). A Long-eared Owl was at Nethy­bridge (10th). Thirty Snow Buntings were at the Cairn­gorm car-park. Eight Scaup were on Loch Insh (2nd), with 35 Bullfinches at Tromie (19th) and a Jack Snipe at Insh (20th). Nuide held 147 Golden Plovers and 200 Red­polls (22nd). EASTER ROSS: A King­fisher was at Tain (13th). Loch Eye had a Smew (1st) and 76 Scaup (12th). Sea­watch­ing off Tar­bat Ness pro­duced max­ima of nine Brent Geese, a Vel­vet Scoter, 75 Red-throated Divers, an Arctic Skua, 300 Guillemots, 200 Ra­zor­bills and an Ice­land Gull. There were 4,000 Pink­feet nearby (18th and 27th). IN­VER­NESS-SHIRE AND BLACK ISLE: An Ice­land Gull was at Mil­ton (5th). There were 29 Brent Geese at Rose­markie (22nd). A King­fisher (6th-18th) and 30 Waxwings (9th) were in In­ver­ness. There were 204 Scaup at Mil­ton of Cul­lo­den (1st). Two Shov­el­ers (25th), nine Slavo­nian Grebes, a Great Crested Grebe (2nd) and an Ice­land Gull (25th) were at Al­turlie. NORTH WEST: Ice­land Gulls were at Bal­nakeil (16th) and Foin­dle (17th). Two Glau­cous Gulls were at the lat­ter lo­ca­tion (17th), with an­other at Kin­lochbervie (13th-17th). There were 400 Ful­mars off Sto­er­head (15th). Eight Black

Guillemots were at the Bay of Culkein (3rd), an Ice­land Gull in Clash­nessie Bay (27th-28th) and a Glau­cous Gull at Clach­toll (17th). Seven Ice­land Gulls re­mained at Loch Kishorn Fish Farm, with a Glau­cous Gull (to 13th) and Lit­tle Gulls (10th and 13th). Three Green­shanks were at Loch Car­ron (3rd). SKYE AND SOUTH WEST: Seventy Bar­na­cle Geese (20th) and five White-fronted Geese (24th) were at Kil­maluag. A Mer­lin and Jack Snipe were in Hin­nis­dal (11th). A Grey Plover was at the head of Loch Har­pot (1st-5th). Two Glau­cous Gulls were at Loch Ai­nort (22nd-23rd), with an­other in Broad­ford Bay (1st-9th). A Jack Snipe was at Har­rapool (3rd). A Lit­tle Auk was off Lusa (15th), where 22 Black-throated Divers (15th) and 21 Great North­ern Divers (7th) were also seen. SUTHER­LAND: Brora had a Mediter­ranean Gull (2nd) and Lit­tle Gull (4th). A White-tailed Ea­gle flew over The Mound (19th). There were 71 Slavo­nian Grebes off Embo and three White-fronted Geese near Dornoch (13th). Tom Wells
