HIGH­LIGHTS: An Amer­i­can Wi­geon on Al­loa Inch was only the third record for the Up­per Forth area (3rd-12th). A Great Grey Shrike was on Flan­ders Moss (10th). BLACKNESS: There was a Grey Plover, Whim­brel and Green­shank (10th). FALKIRK DISTRICT: Two Shov­el­ers were on Al­loa Inch (7th). Jack Snipe were at St He­len’s Loch and Brae­face Pond (14th). HIGGIN’S NEUK: There were five Lit­tle Egrets, 11 Scaup and two Jack Snipe (2nd). STIR­LING DISTRICT: Two Scaup were on the Lake of Men­teith (9th). The Long-tailed Ducks were still at Drum­mond Ponds and the head of Loch Tay (11th), when 25 Whooper Swans were on Loch Dochart. A Hen Har­rier was on Kip­pen Muir (12th). There were 35 Bram­blings and 30 Twite on Drip Moss (14th). Two Great Crested Grebes were on Loch Wat­ston (18th). A Green Wood­pecker was un­usual on Holme­hill Wood, Dun­blane (19th). UP­PER FORTH ES­TU­ARY: A co-or­di­nated count pro­duced a Red-throated Diver, three Great Crested Grebes, 420 Pink­feet, 253 Shel­ducks, 195 Wi­geon, 859 Teal, 132 Pin­tails, three Shov­el­ers, two Eiders, a Scaup, 24 Red-breasted Mer­gansers, 215 Oys­ter­catch­ers, eight Grey Plovers, 108 Golden Plovers, 390 Lap­wings, 848 Knot, 2,914 Dun­lins, 613 Black-tailed God­wits, 87 Bar-tailed God­wits, 625 Curlews, 1,492 Red­shanks and 12 Guillemots.
