KEY POINTS

Bird Watching (UK) - - Go Birding -

1Osbaldwick Beck: This is where the Water Rail was seen last winter. Grey Wagtail can sometimes be found, with Chiffchaff and Blackcap in the spring and summer.

2Thicket area: This corner was full of finches on my visit, among them were Bullfinch, Greenfinch and Goldfinch, so keep a look out.

3Dragon Stones: The Dragon Stones, in the centre of the reserve, are rather like a miniature Stonehenge. This is a good spot to sit and listen for Whitethroat and Willow Warbler, alongside regulars such as House Sparrow and Song Thrush.

4Tang Hall Beck: This is the most likely spot to see Kingfisher.
