1From where you park, go through the gate and follow the track through the wood checking for Wren, Blackbird, Dunnock, Treecreeper, Blue and Great Tits, Chaffinch and, in autumn, the migrant Redwing, Fieldfare and Mistle Thrush.

2Then across the open area for Barn Owl and back into woodland to see Great Spotted and maybe Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Nuthatch, Coal Tit, Willow Tit, Jay and Pied Flycatcher.

3And as you hit the stream and pond you may see Mallard, Coot and Moorhen with Siskin and Goldfinch around.

4Finally, check the brook for Dipper, a possible Kingfisher and wagtails. On the hillside, check the sky for that lovely Red Kite.
