JERSEY: The north-west coast held 35 Choughs, Ravens, a Black Guillemot, four Puffins, 14 Razorbills, Guillemots, Fulmars, Shags, Herring Gulls, Lesser Black-backed Gulls and Great Black-backed Gulls. Short-toed Treecreepers were in most valleys. Dartford Warblers sang along the north and south-west coasts. Hoopoes were at Victoria Tower and St Ouens. There were 18 Purple Sandpipers and 250 Turnstones on the Ecrehous reef. A Garganey, 20 Marsh Harriers, Shelducks, Black-tailed Godwits, Common Sandpipers, Greenshanks and Snipe were at the Wetland Centre. St Aubin held 96 pale-bellied Brent Geese. Sorel had a Honey Buzzard, Yellowhammer, Serin, Ring Ouzels and Wheatears. A Short-eared Owl was at Noirmont. La Rocque had a Kentish Plover, Dunlin, Sanderling, Ringed Plovers, Grey Plovers, Bar-tailed Godwits, Curlews, Whimbrels and two Curlew Sandpipers. Grouville had Cirl Buntings, Grasshopper Warblers, Reed Warblers, Sedge Warblers and Cetti’s Warblers. Nineteen Cattle Egrets were seen across the island. Common Sandpipers, Hobbies and Swifts and thousands of hirundines migrated through. A Firecrest sang at Mont les Vaux.
