HIGHLIGHTS: Two Cattle Egrets flew over Thorncombe Street (9th), with another at Richmond Park (13th). A Pied Flycatcher was on Streatham Common (13th). There was a Stone-curlew and a probable Iberian Chiffchaff at Molesey Heath (18th). Eight Waxwings were at Richmond Park (18th). Turtle Doves were at Beddington and Capel (30th). A Temminck’s Stint was at Beddington (30th). Ring Ouzels were at several sites, the first being at Worcester Park (8th). Whimbrels moved through (from 17th).
LONDON WETLAND CENTRE: There was a Ring Ouzel (from 17th), Bearded Tit, Black Redstart, Caspian Gull, Curlew, Glaucous Gull, Greenshank, Iceland Gull, Ringed Plover, Ruff, Water Pipit, Wheatear, Whinchat and Yellow Wagtail.
STAINES RESERVOIRS: The Slavonian Grebe was seen again at Staines (10th), with a Red-necked Grebe there (16th). A Red-rumped Swallow was at Island Barn Reservoir (17th). Other birds seen included Arctic Tern, Black-necked Grebe, Black Redstart, Bar-tailed Godwit, Black-tailed Godwit, Great Northern Diver, Little Gull, Little Tern, Ringed Plover, Sandwich Tern and Whimbrel.
OTHER SITES: Tice’s Meadow, Farnham, attracted a Grey Plover (4th), Little Ringed Plover (5th), Golden Plover (10th) and two Little Terns (30th). Ospreys were at Chilworth, Guildford, Hedgecourt Lake, Tice’s Meadow and Weybourne. A Black Redstart was at Banstead (23rd). Grasshopper Warblers were at Tice’s Meadow, Ewell and Staines Moor. Two Black Terns were at Frensham Great Pond (30th).
