HIGH­LIGHTS: Five Black-tailed God­wits were at Alve­cote Pools. Whim­brels were at Bran­don Marsh and Dray­cote Wa­ter. Ring Ouzels were at sev­eral sites. A Long-tailed Duck was at Dray­cote Wa­ter. A Pied Flycatcher was in a Leam­ing­ton Spa gar­den (20th). The first Cuckoo was at Bran­don Marsh (16th) and the first Swift at Shus­toke Reser­voir (25th). Wheatears were wide­spread.

ALVE­COTE POOLS: There were two Great White Egrets, a Gar­ganey, White Wag­tail, Red­start, three Whin­chats and an Arc­tic Tern.

BRAN­DON MARSH: High­lights in­cluded Ringed and Lit­tle Ringed Plovers, a Dun­lin, Green­shank, Bar-tailed God­wit, two Sand­wich Terns, a Grasshop­per War­bler, two Whin­chats, a Lesser Whitethroat and two Marsh Har­ri­ers.

DRAY­COTE WA­TER: There was a Slavo­nian Grebe, Red-necked Grebe, three Black-necked Grebes, Caspian, Ice­land, Yel­low-legged and Mediter­ranean Gulls, five Grey Plovers, two Black-tailed God­wits, six Bar-tailed God­wits, a Turn­stone, Dun­lin, Whim­brel and Os­prey. At the end of the month there were 43 Black Terns and 20 Arc­tic Terns.

MIDDLETON: Three Gar­ganeys, seven Black-tailed God­wits, four Grasshop­per War­blers, a Lesser Whitethroat and Os­prey were noted.

MORTON BAGOT: There was a Black-tailed God­wit, Curlew, Dun­lin, Green Sand­piper, Lit­tle Owl, Red­start, Grasshop­per War­bler and Lesser Whitethroat.

OTHER SITES: Shus­toke Reser­voir held six Lit­tle Gulls and a White Wag­tail. Sal­ford Pri­ors had a Ruff, Corn Bunting and Scaup. Kings­bury WP had a Great White Egret, Arc­tic Tern and Green­land White-fronted Goose. There was a Great White Egret, Pied Flycatcher, Curlew, Grasshop­per War­bler and Marsh Harrier at Lady­walk.
