HIGH­LIGHTS: A Cat­tle Egret was at Fens Pools (9th).

BARTLEY: There was a Com­mon Scoter, Com­mon Terns and Com­mon Sand­pipers.

CLAYHANGER: There was a Gar­ganey, Grasshop­per War­bler, Raven and Wheatears.

LUTLEY: A Ring Ouzel, Green­land-race Wheatear and Red­start were noted.

MARSH LANE: Two Sand­wich Terns paused briefly. Twelve Bar-tailed God­wits flew through with one land­ing. Two Black-tailed God­wits, two Ringed Plovers and an Egyp­tian Goose were also logged. An Os­prey flew over. A Cuckoo, Red­start, Whooper Swan, Cetti’s War­bler and Mediter­ranean Gulls were seen.

SANDWELL VAL­LEY: A Wood Sand­piper, two Black-tailed God­wits, two Green Sand­pipers, a Kit­ti­wake and Black Tern were on Forge Mill Lake. A Ring Ouzel was on Sal­ters Lane. Red­starts, a Green­land-race Wheatear, Whim­brel, four Whin­chats and a Grasshop­per War­bler were also seen.

OTHER SITES: Waxwings were in Soli­hull, Sut­ton Cold­field and Wolver­hamp­ton. There were 22 Wheatears on Barr Bea­con. Row­ley Hill at­tracted a Ring Ouzel, Red­start and Lesser Whitethroat. Six Wa­ter Pip­its were at Edg­bas­ton Reser­voir.
