Any idea who’s tagged this duck?

QI took this photo of a Tufted Duck on my local reservoir. On closer inspection, I noticed it had been tagged. During the winter there were also several geese wearing these bright red tags. I have tried to research who’s tagging them and why but to no avail.

AWe’ve done a bit of digging around but haven’t been able to find which scheme this has been tagged under, partly because it’s hard to read the writing on the nasal saddle. So, we’d be interested to hear from anyone who recognises it. The saddles are used because, of course, leg rings could be impossible to read.
