Bird Watching (UK) - - Your Birding Month Autumn -

The Jay is another species which is around throughout the year, though birds also come from the continent for the winter. Autumn, for Jays, is a time for gathering nuts, particularly acorns (which are buried for later retrieval). So, it is a time when Jays are seen repeatedly flying to stands of oaks, and returning with acorns in their bills.
