Rubber and plastic firm bought

Birmingham Post - - NEWS -

A HISTORIC Birmingham rubber and plastics manufacturer has been bought by its management in a seven-figure deal.

Digbeth-based CB Frost & Co was formed in 1921 and currently employs more than 20 people.

The business designs and manufactures bespoke products for a wide range of industries including rail, construction, energy, automotive, military, defence and medical.

Director David Dunn will retire from the business but Philip Beadle will remain on the board as non-executive chairman to oversee the transition to the new management team.

Both said the decision to sell their shares to the management team was not taken lightly.

The undisclosed buyout is expected to pave the way for further growth and development for CB Frost and its new management team led by Paul Kennedy and Mark Jones.

This includes expansion into new sectors and further investment in plant and machinery.
