Education – not nanny state, please
DEAR Editor, What a load of codswallop the obesity crisis is. In my family there were eight of us growing up in the 50s and 60s, we were all slim and could eat anything that we wanted.
We now have a nanny state who want to control what we eat.
These busybodies should do something positive like sort out education and sport in our schools, not bring out a sugar tax or poking their noses into hitting us with a tax on sweets, puddings and pastries.
Get off your backsides and go into schools and educate our children, not punish them with this pathetic tax.
