New tax technology director for EY
FINANCIAL services firm EY has appointed a new director in its Birmingham office.
Eleanor Macdonald has joined the practice as a director in the tax transformation and technology team.
Ms Macdonald has 12 years of experience within the tax technology sector and joins the firm from Deloitte, having previously held senior tax management consulting roles.
She has built up experience helping clients to transform their tax compliance and reporting processes, making best use of automation and analytical technologies to increase efficiency and accuracy.
In her new role she will focus on helping firms to take advantage of the latest technology developments to transform their tax processes and meet the increasing demands around transparency and disclosure from the public, governments and digital tax administrations.
Ms Macdonald said: “Now is a really exciting time in tax technology. Rapid advances in technologies such as artificial intelligence, combined with increasing volumes of data and falling technology costs, are radically transforming the world of business, making the benefits of automation and analytics far more accessible.
