Law firm’s buy-out deal

A NEW law firm has been cre­ated in Soli­hull fol­low­ing a buy­out deal.

Stuart Southall has ac­quired the com­mer­cial arm of Mid­lands prac­tice Ed­ward Hands and Lewis to cre­ate EHL Com­mer­cial and is lead­ing the new set up as man­ag­ing part­ner. Mr Southall is a com­mer­cial and chancery lit­i­ga­tor op­er­at­ing in the fields of in­sol­vency, in­tel­lec­tual prop­erty and sports law.

EHL Com­mer­cial clients are cur­rently SME busi­nesses with turnovers in be­tween £250,000 to £65 mil­lion. It also rep­re­sents start-up busi­nesses, char­i­ties and en­ti­ties that are ready to float on the stock mar­ket, as well as hedge funds, prop­erty de­vel­op­ers and pro­fes­sional service providers.
