West Midlands leader urges May to end austerity in week Conservatives hit town
THE Conservative mayor of the West Midlands has called on Prime Minister Theresa May to end austerity – claiming “the cuts have gone far enough”.
Andy Street spoke out in the week the Tories visit Birmingham for their annual conference.
In an interview with the Post, he warns that local services are suffering, adding: “I think it is right to say that the cuts have gone far enough. It’s not reasonable to expect that this continues.”
