Frank the vulture makes great escape from castle
A HUGE Egyptian vulture called Frank has escaped from Warwick Castle. Unsurprisingly, Frank, who regularly entertains visitors with his aerobatic skills, merely flew away on Monday.
It is not the first time Frank has gone astray. In 2018 he flew off after a display routine but was found perched on a sign at a nearby petrol station. Egyptian vultures feed mainly on carrion but are opportunistic and will prey on small mammals, birds, and reptiles.
They also feed on the eggs of other birds, breaking larger ones by tossing a large pebble onto them.
The castle tweeted: “One of our adult Egyptian vultures, Frank, has gone exploring in the area. “Please keep your eyes peeled for him – if you do see him, he is friendly and tame, but please don’t approach him. Instead, message us on our social channels.”
