The Library

Black Country Bugle - - YOUR LETTERS - By Janet Oakey

I get so excited when it’s time for my Library visit ’Cos new books beckon and just wouldn’t want to miss it. Thousands of books to choose from on numerous topics Knowledge to be absorbed and never too old to learn about new subjects. We know instant information can be Googled (hoping there’s no computer glitch) It’s all so easy nowadays, knowledge at our fingertips. But Oh what joy to feel and turn the pages of books To admire the artwork on front covers to enhance their looks. Reading from Kindles and Computers and from all the social media When all we had in days gone by was to consult the encyclopedia ! Different books for everyone to satisfy their literary need And whatever we do in life, we all need to read. Authors are so clever with stories they have penned So, let’s support our Libraries and borrow a book or two to set the future trend.
