Mar­ket dayin Coupar An­gus

Coupar An­gus com­mu­nity mar­ket re­turns to the Cross this Satur­day.

There will be a range of stalls from 10am un­til 2pm, sell­ing a va­ri­ety of lo­cal pro­duce in­clud­ing plants and veg­eta­bles.

Lo­cal butch­ers Ann David­son will be at the mar­ket, as will Myre­side Or­gan­ics and the Coupar An­gus Cy­cle Hub which, as well as sell­ing sec­ond-hand bikes, will be avail­able to re­pair bikes.

The pop­u­lar ar­ti­san bread stall will also be back.

And rep­re­sen­ta­tives from Coupar An­gus and Ben­dochy Com­mu­nity Coun­cil will have a stall at the event.

They will be avail­able to an­swer ques­tions peo­ple have on the im­prove­ments to For­far Road and are keen to hear from res­i­dents in the town about any lo­cal is­sues that are con­cern­ing them.

An­other new ini­tia­tive for this month’s mar­ket is a free up­cy­cling work­shop at the High Street Store.

Peo­ple are be­ing en­cour­aged to take along a piece of cloth­ing that needs mend­ing or re­fresh­ing and vol­un­teers will pro­vide guid­ance and in­spi­ra­tion on ways to up­cy­cle it.

The mar­kets take place on the third Satur­day of the month through­out the spring, sum­mer and au­tumn.
