Cast are all set for the Blair­gowrie Play­ers’ com­edy pro­duc­tion of the Vicar of Di­b­ley

Re­hearsals are well un­der way for the Blair­gowrie Play­ers’ pro­duc­tion of the Vicar of Di­b­ley, which hits the stage in Blair­gowrie Town Hall on Thurs­day June 1 for a three­day run.

Regular sup­port­ers of the Play­ers will recog­nise many a fa­mil­iar face in the show, which is in­spired by the tele­vi­sion com­edy clas­sic of the same name.

Roy Mayne plays Owen and Shaun Topen-Cooper takes on the role of Hugo. Jeff Brewer plays Jim, while Alan McCombe, who these days usu­ally prefers the tech­ni­cal side of the pro­duc­tions, plays Frank, and Gra­ham Reid plays the au­to­cratic David Hor­ton.

Pamela Howat is Geral­dine, the vicar, Ruth Reid plays Leti­tia, the maker of ter­ri­ble food, and Jaime Ket­tles plays the lov­able Alice.

Show dates are Thurs­day, June 1, Fri­day, June 2, and Satur­day, June 3. Cur­tains up at 7pm.
