Another winfor ladies team
Blairgowrie Ladies hockey team celebrated another win on Saturday, this time against Perthshire II.
The team played an away match at Kilgraston School and left triumphant with a 3-2 win.
Blairgowrie started the scoring early with a penalty corner strike from Lynsey Campbell.
Blair began to tire towards the end of the first half without any substitutes available, but the scoring remained 1-0 at half-time.
Perthshire came into the second half fighting and soon scored a goal following a series of penalty corners.
But Blair immediately reacted, with Louise Nixon scoring with a strike from the edge of the circle.
Nixon soon managed to bypass the goalie with another strike, making the score 3-1 and lifting team spirits.
Although Perthshire managed to score in the dying minutes of the game, Blairgowrie triumphed at the final whistle.
Their next match will at North Inch Community Campus in Perth at 1pm on Saturday, September 23 against Dundee University III.
