Geobus in school visit
Pupils at Blairgowrie High School were treated to a visit from the‘geobus’ from the University of St Andrews last week.
The geobus team ran a variety of interactive science-based lessons with the pupils.
Higher pupils learned about identifying soil types and conducted infiltration experiments while pupils in S3 and S4 learned about the climate through fossils and the effect of changing climate conditions on the planet.
Teacher Mrs Augustyniak, who organised the sessions, said that it was a “fantastic, hands-on active learning day”.
She added that highlights for the pupils included melting ice and exploding balloons.
