Epic a right royal mess
A misguided mess this one as Charlie Hunnam’s miscast Arthur feels a world away from the famous mythical hero, and Jude Law doesn’t fare much better as his nemesis Vortigern.
Guy Ritchie shoots eye-catching sequences but the script is sloppy and it’s hard to see this planned franchise taking off. The latest from Studio Ghibli is one of its most ambitious yet with a tale completely free of dialogue.
The visuals are sumptuous and characters engage, but it’s a tough watch.
Not much happens and while the quiet is better than being bombarded with noise and show tunes, it should’ve stopped to say a few words.
