Blairgowrie and Rattray Community Football Club’s 2006 team is hosting their very first football festival this Saturday, September 30.

The team has taken part in lots of festivals since they formed in 2012 and is now looking forward to welcoming 11 teams from all over Scotland to participate in their very own tournament at the Piggy Lane pitches in Blairgowrie.

An estimated 120 players will be taking part in the event, each of whom will receive a medal for their efforts, sponsored by Dundeebased Structural Engineering firm Millard Consulting.

The action gets under way at noon with each team playing five 15-minute games.

Organisers expect that there will be a lot of talented young footballers taking part and would encourage as many people as possible to come along and support both the Blairgowrie team and the event.

The car park at Piggy Lane will be full so anyone travelling to the pitches by car should park at the community campus or on Elm Drive.
