A slideshow high­light­ing mem­o­ries of Blair­gowrie and Rat­tray will be given by Mar­garet An­ton on Tues­day, Novem­ber 28.

It takes place in the St Cather­ine’s Cen­tre, Ge­orge Street, at 7.30pm. En­try is free. Num­bers are lim­ited so en­try will be by ticket, avail­able from R Doig and Sons and Mitchell’s Newsagents on the High Street.

Mei­gle The meet­ing on Oc­to­ber 19 was held in Mei­gle Church Hall. Pres­i­dent Cather­ine Ritchie wel­comed mem­bers and there was a dis­cus­sion about what items to bring for the ham­per and sales ta­ble at the Christ­mas Fayre to be held in Mei­gle on Satur­day, Novem­ber 4. Com­pe­ti­tions: dec­o­rated Hal­lowe’en bis­cuit - 1 Suzanne Lis­ton, 2 Cather­ine Ritchie; flower of the month - 1 Mar­ion Hazel, 2 Mary Con­nacher, 3 Mau­reen Milne. Hostesses were Mau­reen Milne and Ethel Dou­glas. The next meet­ing will be on Thurs­day, Novem­ber 16, at 7pm.

Rat­tray and Dis­trict Pres­i­dent Muriel Brown wel­comed the speaker, Irene Kirk­wood and her daugh­ter, Donna. Irene or­gan­ises hand­bag par­ties. A tasty sup­per, was pro­vided by mem­bers. Com­pe­ti­tions: sewn tote bag - 1 Greer Oliver, 2 Muriel Brown. 3 Fiona Ness; three cup­cakes - 1 Katy Scott, 2 Muriel Brown, 3 Les­ley Howkins; flower of the month - Fiona Ness.

Sil­vie and Ruthven Pres­i­dent Joy Reid wel­comed May Web­ster who demon­strated marzi­pan fruits and a Christ­mas rose.Host­ess was Jackie McCowan.
