Football kids raise cash for cancer fund

Players and supporters of Blairgowrie and Rattray Community Football Club’s 2008 team raised £400 for charity.

The team held a fun football day for youngsters and their parents at the Piggy Lane playing fields.

Proceeds were presented to Donna Bednarek from Clic Sargent.

Club chair Sandy Thomson said: “We try where possible to have teams involved in fundraising events, not just for themselves but for other charities as well.”

He thanked everyone who went along on the day and Duncan and Bob Dryburgh for organising the event.

The team will be starting their winter training programme in the next couple of weeks.
