Man(33) stole two bottlesof vodkain Alyth
A shoplifter stole two bottles of spirits from an Alyth Co-op.
Lee Simpson (33) was remanded in custody while a background report is prepared after appearing at Perth Sheriff Court.
Sheriff Gillian Wade noted he is currently on licence after being freed early from a previous spell behind bars - and is also subject to a bail order.
He admitted stealing two bottles of vodka from the supermarket in The Square, Alyth, on December 22.
He was on a Forfar Sheriff Court bail order, dated November 1, 2017, at the time.
A co-accused, Murray Fotheringham (35), of Morrison Terrace, Alyth, had not guilty pleas accepted to charges of making off with the spirits, along with a sandwich, from the outlet the same day.
Solicitor Steve Lafferty, for Simpson, said he would be prepared to accept any special bail conditions, including a curfew or staying out of Alyth altogether.
But Sheriff Wade remanded him in custody until January 19 pending the preparation of a Community Justice Social Work report.
Simpson, of Dura Street, Dundee, admitted previous convictions.
