Alfie Hills was cremated on August 23 at the Islington Crematorium, with over 100 friends and family members present. Alfie was connected with boxing for most of his life and worked in the meat market alongside his good friend, Islington ex-pro George Hollister. LEBA members in attendance at the funeral included George and his wife Linda, Dixie Dean, Tony Garrett and Ray Caulfield.
