ON Monday (November 13), Zambiaborn Londoner Matthew Chanda fights Swansea’s Jay Harris for the vacant British super-flyweight crown at the Hilton Hotel in Mayfair, with Queensberry also promoting. One year ago, Chanda was edged out on a split decision by Duke Micha for the Commonwealth bantamweight title in what was his most recent fight. In February of this year, Harris, 27, lifted the Commonwealth flyweight belt when he defeated Thomas Essomba. Chanda, 31, has fought as high as superbantamweight and so will be the naturally bigger man, but Harris is wellschooled and should have the tools to win this one on points.
