SHOULD WHYTE vs BROWNE BE HAPPENING CONSIDERING THEIR PAST MISDEMEANOURS?

KIERAN BRIDGE

Whyte hasn’t done anything too bad [UKAD accepted that he unknowingly ingested a banned substance], whereas Browne has tested positive for banned substances twice. Fighters like this should be banned from boxing, full stop.

STEVE CLIFT

Testing fighters, banning them and then letting them fight again? It kind of makes a nonsense of testing in the first place. If you test positive, you should be banned for life – end of. And that includes ALL illegal substances. But if that were the case there wouldn’t be too many of the current top 10 heavyweights still boxing.

CHRIS ASHTON

Bans mean nothing now. The time they would usually take off between fights seems to be the normal length of a ban, so it’s irrelevant. It’s a shambles really. Then again, it’s not like someone could get hurt, is it?
