ICELANDIC singer Björk is to perform three live matinee shows next month which will be live-steamed online to raise money for domestic women’s charities.
Björk Orkestral – Live in Reykjavík will take place with a live audience at Harpa Hall on August 9, 15 and 23.
The unplugged acoustic shows, organised with Iceland Airwaves, are a celebration of the Icelandic musicians that Björk has worked with over the years and each concert will feature more than 100 musicians.
They will be showcasing new instrumental arrangements of scores from Björk’s back catalogue. She says: “We are going to celebrate that we are all healthily exiting quarantine together.”
