FIVE OF THE BEST THINGS TO DO
A HUNDRED people packed into a curry house for a performance by Robbie Williams to raise cash for a scouts group.
Chris Owen organised a tribute show at the Old Bengal, in Beaconsfield on Sunday, July 6.
The evening raised £1,111 for the 4th Beaconsfield Scout Group, to replace the toilets in their hut in Ronalds Road.
People watched ventriloquist Owen Red, 87-year-old David Owen and the Robbie Williams tribute artist Rob Idol.
Chris said: “Owen and Rob were fantastic, but once again the 87-yearyoung former Beaconsfield Youth Club leader stole the show.
“The whole restaurant gave him a standing ovation, even though he remained seated. The Old Bengal, as usual provide some excellent food.”
Mike Clare, from The Clare Foundation, pledged to match whatever amount the evening raised.
