A HUN­DRED peo­ple packed into a curry house for a per­for­mance by Rob­bie Wil­liams to raise cash for a scouts group.

Chris Owen or­gan­ised a trib­ute show at the Old Ben­gal, in Bea­cons­field on Sun­day, July 6.

The evening raised £1,111 for the 4th Bea­cons­field Scout Group, to re­place the toi­lets in their hut in Ron­alds Road.

Peo­ple watched ven­tril­o­quist Owen Red, 87-year-old David Owen and the Rob­bie Wil­liams trib­ute artist Rob Idol.

Chris said: “Owen and Rob were fan­tas­tic, but once again the 87-yeary­oung for­mer Bea­cons­field Youth Club leader stole the show.

“The whole res­tau­rant gave him a stand­ing ova­tion, even though he re­mained seated. The Old Ben­gal, as usual pro­vide some ex­cel­lent food.”

Mike Clare, from The Clare Foun­da­tion, pledged to match what­ever amount the evening raised.
