Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

THREE friends have set off on the adventure of a lifetime.

Peter Emmanuel, 20, and James Barker, 19, from Gerrards Cross, and Max Morgan, 20, from Chalfont St Peter, started the annual Mongol Rally on Saturday in their 15-year-old Ford Fiesta.

Peter and Max were pupils at Thorpe House School, in Gerrards Cross, and met James at secondary school.

The rally started in London. The route through France, Belgium, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine and Russia covers about 10,000 miles and seven time zones and involves crossing deserts and mountain ranges.

The friends are raising money for the charity William’s Fund, which helps fund research into childhood cancers.
