Work ranged from pointillism and collages by year three pupils to flower and butterfly pictures by those in year four and famous landmarks in pastel produced by year five.

Year six pupils painted watercolours while they were on a trip to France, which were also on display.

The school orchestra entertained the audience during the evening and the whole school sang, conducted by headteacher Elizabeth Underwood.

Year six entrepreneurs ran stalls selling homemade crafts and other items.

School art coordinator Brenda Meek said: “This proved yet again to be a highly successful and enjoyable evening.

“It was wonderful to watch the children and their families enjoying the music and artwork on display on a beautiful sunny evening.”
