Integration of two support groups

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - NEWS -

TWO organisations dedicated to helping people find work and build on their skills are combining their resources.

Careers Springboard, a charity based in Gerrards Cross, and GradNet, in Beaconsfield, have merged to create one place for graduates and professionals to get help with finding a job.

The new organisation will retain the name Careers Springboard and will still be free for users.

The service is run by volunteers, who work with managers and professionals, and now graduates, and help them find paid employment or a change of career.

GradNet founder Bill Penn said: “I very much like the idea of GradNet graduates integrating into Careers Springboard job search services with recognition of the new younger membership in every facet of Careers Springboard operations.”

Andy Low, chairman of Careers Springboard, said: “We are delighted to welcome GradNet members to Careers Springboard.

“The addition of graduates to our group can only make us stronger and will be to the benefit of all.”

The group will meet on Mondays in St Andrew’s United Reformed Church Hall, in Packhorse Road, Gerrards Cross, from 7.30pm. The service is available to members across Chiltern and South Bucks.
