Careers excellence

Buckinghamshire Advertiser - - OPINION -

A SCHOOL has won an award for the careers advice and guidance it gives pupils.

Chesham Grammar School in White Hill, Chesham, has been given the Investor in Careers award for a further three years, in recognition of excellence in its Career Education Including Advice and Guidance programme.

Some of the strengths highlighted by the assessor include an accessible and well stocked careers library, providing impartial careers advice and clear schemes of work, and session plans from year seven.

Headteacher Phillip Wayne said: “We are delighted to be accredited as an investor in careers once again and to be recognised for our impartial careers advice and guidance.

“We believe very strongly that we have a responsibility not only to ensure that students achieve excellent results but also are prepared for university and life beyond school.

“We hope that our students will have the opportunity to enjoy careers of distinction, influence and service.”
