Kai’s a dou­ble win­ner

KAI Smith was a dou­ble win­ner at this year’s Lit­tle Chal­font School mini ten­nis tour­na­ment.

The year three pupil won the year three to five round robin from Eloise Hemsworth be­fore de­feat­ing Harry Lee in the knock­out fi­nal.

Just like last year, Luke Sut­cliffe and Alex Walker dom­i­nated pro­ceed­ings in the year six com­pe­ti­tion.

Sut­cliffe won the round robin event but was then edged out 10-9 in the knock­out fi­nal by Walker.

Mean­while, in the St Mary’s School mini ten­nis club an­nual tour­na­ment, un­seeded year four pupil Char­lie Haines did su­perbly to reach the fi­nal.

He de­feated num­ber two seed Joe Bur­ton and in the semi-fi­nal over­came num­ber three seed Char­lie Par­tridge be­fore draw­ing with top seed and year five stu­dent Ge­orge Daw­son in the fi­nal.
