Vanessa’s advice to help beat addiction
A BUSINESSWOMAN who rebuilt her life after someone close to her struggled with addictions has been tipped to win a national award.
Vanessa Stotter from Honorwood Close, Prestwood, has helped other women overcome adversity after her own family struggles and now she has been shortlisted for the Annual Women Inspiring Women National Awards.
Vanessa was married with two children and had a successful career as a top consultant for Mary Kay skin care before her life was affected by a close family member’s addiction.
She said: “My life had gone from ‘happy ever after’ to a desperate, deep, dark place in my mind.”
Vanessa then began to rebuild her life by focusing on thoughts of love and gratitude. She spent a year recording positive messages for her sales team and used these for her book Butterfly Whispers, published earlier this year.
