One man, el­bow pads and mid­dle earth

ONE man will at­tempt to tell the story of an en­tire tril­ogy of films in a sin­gle show.

One Man Lord of the Rings is com­ing to the Wy­combe Swan in Septem­ber as part of a tour of the UK. Cana­dian ac­tor Charles Ross, who has also en­joyed suc­cess with his one man Star Wars per­for­mance, is be­hind the am­bi­tious show.

In the comic per­for­mance, Charles aims to stun his au­di­ence by recre­at­ing the en­chant­ing world of Mid­dle Earth with noth­ing more than el­bow pads and his out­ra­geous imag­i­na­tion.

Be pre­pared to jour­ney through the en­tire tril­ogy – the Fel­low­ship of the Ring, the Two Tow­ers and the Re­turn of the King, in 3,600 sec­onds of ki­netic entertainment, in­clud­ing boom­ing spe­cial ef­fects, riv­et­ing stage fights and har­row­ing res­cues.

Charles Ross does it all in this en­gag­ing, epic one man show.

If you’ve seen the films, read the books and are de­voted to the saga, then Charles’ zany take on Lord of the Rings will be right up your al­ley and will be sure to leave a last­ing im­pres­sion.

The show is writ­ten and cre­ated by Charles Ross, di­rected by TJ Dawe and with light­ing de­sign by Mike Sch­lad­mose.

It will be at the Wy­combe Swan for one night only, with a show tak­ing place on Fri­day, Septem­ber 26 at 7.30pm.
