One man, elbow pads and middle earth
ONE man will attempt to tell the story of an entire trilogy of films in a single show.
One Man Lord of the Rings is coming to the Wycombe Swan in September as part of a tour of the UK. Canadian actor Charles Ross, who has also enjoyed success with his one man Star Wars performance, is behind the ambitious show.
In the comic performance, Charles aims to stun his audience by recreating the enchanting world of Middle Earth with nothing more than elbow pads and his outrageous imagination.
Be prepared to journey through the entire trilogy – the Fellowship of the Ring, the Two Towers and the Return of the King, in 3,600 seconds of kinetic entertainment, including booming special effects, riveting stage fights and harrowing rescues.
Charles Ross does it all in this engaging, epic one man show.
If you’ve seen the films, read the books and are devoted to the saga, then Charles’ zany take on Lord of the Rings will be right up your alley and will be sure to leave a lasting impression.
The show is written and created by Charles Ross, directed by TJ Dawe and with lighting design by Mike Schladmose.
It will be at the Wycombe Swan for one night only, with a show taking place on Friday, September 26 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £16, with £1.50 off for concessions.
