Groups thanked for help­ing coun­try park

COLNE Val­ley Park In­ter­est Com­pany pre­sented cer­tifi­cates to or­gan­i­sa­tions in recog­ni­tion of their con­tri­bu­tion to the Den­ham park.

The event took place on Mon­day last week at the Old Or­chard in Hare­field, which has far reach­ing views of Colne Val­ley.

The Buck­ing­hamshire Ad­ver­tiser, Affin­ity Wa­ter, Amey, Buck­ing­hamshire Golf Club, Grun­don, Heathrow Air­port, Red Squir­rel Brew­ery and Thames Wa­ter were all thanked. Com­mu­nity edi­tor Mort Smith went along to col­lect the cer­tifi­cate on be­half of the Ad­ver­tiser.

Dennis Alder, direc­tor of Colne Val­ley Park said: “The Colne Val­ley Park was formed in 1965, and the Colne Val­ley Park CIC was re­cently es­tab­lished to en­sure a sus­tain­able fu­ture for our lo­cal land­scapes.

“I am de­lighted to be able to per­son­ally thank our found­ing cor­po­rate sup­port­ers who have pledged their sup­port to the Colne Val­ley.

“We hope to reach out to many more lo­cal busi­nesses as we start plan­ning for the high pro­file se­ries of cel­e­bra­tion events to mark 50 years of the Colne Val­ley Park in 2015.”
